J’avais déjà écrit mes billets 1676 et 1677. J’ai dû revoir mes numéros et mon ordre de publication. Pas bien grave vous me direz et vous aurez raison. Après tout, on ne choisit pas quand on meurt - certes, parfois, si - même si, dans le cas de Shane MacGowan, on savait depuis quelques temps que la fin était proche.
Voilà, le punk aux dents pourries qui écrivait et chantait de la musique de pub irlandais a laissé ses Pogues (rien à voir avec le jeu pourri auxquels les gamins s’adonnaient dans les cours de récré à la fin des années 90) orphelins.
Je ne vais pas mentir, je n’adhère pas totalement à la musique des Pogues. Trop folklorique pour moi. Ou alors je n’ai pas compris ou je n’ai pas trouvé la clef pour entrer dans cet univers. Je n’ai du groupe que la compilation The Ultimate Collection. Que je trouve un peu longuette. Pas une raison pour ne pas saluer la mémoire d’un sacré personnage que j’ai découvert chantant sur un album de Nick Cave.
